So sorry I haven't been posting for a while but I've been so busy at work and baking new cupcakes and so on that I did not have time to really post all my ideas of the last week.
Found this great book on how to make ice cream.. I know it's getting colder but hey everybody loves Ice cream especially me and my kids their favorite flavor Salted Caramel Ice cream:
Check out the book Sweet Cream and Sugar Cones here on Amazon
How to make Salted Caramel Ice cream:
What do you need:
- 1 1/4 cups sugar, divided
- 2 1/4 cups heavy cream, divided
- 1/2 teaspoon flaky sea salt.
- 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 1 cup whole milk
- 3 large eggs
Preparation:
Heat 1 cup sugar in a dry 10-inch heavy skillet over
medium heat, stirring with a fork to heat sugar evenly, until it starts
to melt,
then stop stirring and cook, swirling skillet occasionally so sugar
melts evenly, until it is dark amber.
Add 1 1/4 cups cream (mixture will spatter) and cook, stirring, until
all of caramel has dissolved. Transfer to a bowl and stir in sea salt
and vanilla. Cool to room temperature.
Meanwhile, bring milk, remaining cup cream, and remaining 1/4 cup sugar
just to a boil in a small heavy saucepan, stirring occasionally.
Lightly whisk eggs in a medium bowl, then add half of hot milk mixture
in a slow stream, whisking constantly. Pour back into saucepan and cook
over medium heat, stirring constantly with a wooden spoon, until custard
coats back of spoon and registers 170°F on an instant-read thermometer
(do not let boil). Pour custard through a fine-mesh sieve into a large
bowl, then stir in cooled caramel.
Chill custard, stirring occasionally, until very cold, 3 to 6 hours.
Freeze custard in ice cream maker (it will still be quite soft),
then transfer to an airtight container and put in freezer to firm up.
Inspirations, inspirations...

I think I will keep going out for ice cream. Sounds like a lot of work. Hee Hee
BeantwoordenVerwijderenAs for the leather pants... simple "recipe" if you ask me...
Leather pants + a great top (I typically like sweaters) + an amazing pair of heels (or low cut boots) = amazing ensemble!
I wear mine so many Saturdays during the fall and winter. So versatile. So fabulous. The perfect casual/chic item for any fashionista's closet.
Get a pair... you will see.
BTW... thank you for the sweet comment on my blog today. Hope you will stop in again soon?

I am also looking for the perfect pants, and that's quite hard to find. Some of them are definitely too cheap looking and some are quite expensive... Well that's hard when you love leather a lot :))
BeantwoordenVerwijderenYour style is very unique compared to other folks I’ve read
